I figured I would finally put something about this since it does appear that they continue to not do what they said they would (Tokyo said he would have nothing to do with us). Anyway I will start from the beginning; I started working for Pimp as the forum admin in February 2009 when we were hosted by GoDaddy and Tokyo was looking for help with forums, webmastering ect. Things went well for quite awhile and eventually I convinced him to post Pimp on my companies servers because of how GoDaddy was shafting him (charging him 120 dollars then DMCAing him, closing his account and requiring ANOTHER 120 dollars to get a new account). He agreed and so we moved him over to a VM. Because of the amount of traffic and eventually our buying a license for the VPS he was using (for DirectAdmin) we asked him to sign a contract to ensure that we were not getting screwed over if he were to leave and to ensure the security of our network (at that point we were contributing a large investment on a monthly basis; some say we were not (please see Cothdor {Daniel Hayles}. The security issue was him distributing server logins so an NDA was included with the contract. If you want a breakdown of costs there is the dedicated server that PimpAnime uses a majority of because of all the streaming bandwidth it requires and the CPU the CMS we use and used takes up). He completed this form after negotiations on my part then friends of his who ran competing anime sites told him that I was trying to take over his website. I found out about this and called him to discuss this and asked him what he wanted to do. He decided to leave Pimp to me and part ways. To this day I still do not understand why because since everything was already worked out nothing else would have happened. Anyway after that a few months passed. Then he started AnimeRatio with Tino (who use to be the third admin of Pimp; if I remember me and Tokyo removed him because of inactivity). Tokyosama then demanded that we remove the theme that was being used and all the anime he uploaded. We reluctantly agreed as we did not want a whole lot of further drama since the site was in the process of going through a lot of changes anyway (hiring a whole new admin team changes A LOT). Upon that happening AR members began to come and troll pimp; we asked Tokyosama to have the members stop and he told us that he wanted nothing more to do with the site and that he cannot control them. Thus as of that point Pimp was shut down for awhile (one because of all the drama I T_Ted and Q_Qed and also because we were developing a new version (the version that exists now) of pimpanime.) Now here we are after all that the relationship between both sites is not exactly a happy one but I try to stay out of there way and I hope they do the same with us; I would like to have some of the anime that Tokyosama took because he uploaded it for PimpAnime originally but what exactly can I do; I can’t force anyone to do anything and to be honest I would rather not cause a war so thus we have to refill the list manually.
